Coffee powder
Coffee powder
Coffee — the natural exfoliant that helps awaken the skin's radiance and softness
Common name: Coffee powder
INCI name: Coffea Arabica Seed Powder
Where it comes from
Coffee powder is of plant origin. It comes from the beans of the coffee plant, particularly the species Coffea arabica.
The beans are harvested, processed and ground to obtain a powder that can be used in certain cosmetic formulations for its exfoliating and revitalising properties.

How does it work on the skin?
Picture the surface of your skin as a floor on which small dead cells can gradually build up.
When they remain on the surface, the skin can look dull, less smooth and rougher.
When used as an exfoliant, the fine particles of coffee powder mechanically dislodge these dead cells.
Freed from this excess of dead cells, the skin then looks softer, smoother and more radiant.
Which skin types?
Coffee powder is particularly suited to:
- Dull skin : helps revive the appearance of radiance.
- Rough skin : helps make the skin's surface softer and smoother.
- Normal skin : can be used in a suitable exfoliating treatment.
- Body skin : particularly useful for areas that tend to be rough.
- Skin with an uneven tone : helps remove dead cells that can make the skin's surface look less even.
It is particularly suited to exfoliating care for the body, depending on how fine the powder is and the formulation it is used in.
