Where it comes from
Neem oil is of plant origin. It is obtained from the seeds of the neem tree, a tree native to the Indian subcontinent now grown across various tropical and subtropical regions.
The seeds are pressed to extract an oil naturally rich in fatty acids and plant compounds. After processing and purification suited to cosmetic use, it can be incorporated into various formulations intended for skincare.
How does it work on the skin?
Picture the skin as a surface that must constantly defend itself against dust, pollution, perspiration and the other aggressors of the day.
When the skin is out of balance, it can more easily become oily, uncomfortable or prone to blemishes. It may also need lipids to maintain good protection at its surface.
